Who this is for

Built for how Hawai‘i actually works.

Real estate agents

1099 income, no employer plan, and every dollar of premium comes off your commission.

Small business owners

Quotes for small-group coverage made you close the laptop. There's another way.

Contractors & trades

Independent by design — your healthcare can be too.

Gig & freelance workers

Drivers, creatives, trainers, stylists — steady protection for variable income.

Early retirees (pre-65)

Bridging the years to Medicare without a $1,000+ monthly premium.

Aged off a parent's plan

Just turned 26? Healthy and price-sensitive is exactly who this fits best.

How it works

Two pieces, one strategy.

Instead of one expensive policy trying to do everything, we pair two purpose-built programs — one for the big events, one for everyday care.

Impact Health Sharing

Medical cost sharing community — not insurance
  • Members share eligible medical bills — hospitalization, surgery, procedures, and more
  • No provider network — visit any doctor or hospital
  • Up to $500,000 per member shared annually; maternity sharing up to $150,000 per delivery
  • No religious membership requirement and no health requirements to join
  • $0 on-demand telehealth included
  • Wellness Rewards can lower your household's responsibility amount by up to $150/month

ManhattanLife Affordable Choice

Fixed indemnity insurance — not major medical
  • Pays fixed cash benefits directly to you — doctor visits, urgent care, ER, hospital days, surgery, prescriptions, labs & imaging
  • Premiums start under $80/month; issue ages 18–64
  • No waiting periods and no network restrictions
  • Hospital confinement benefit grows 25% per year through year 5
  • Cancer benefit included; optional Specified Disease Rider available
  • $5,000,000 lifetime maximum on the base plan

Together: the sharing community handles the big events, and the cash benefits help with day-to-day care and out-of-pocket responsibility. Many self-employed households find the combined monthly cost meaningfully lower than an unsubsidized marketplace plan — your comparison will show your exact numbers.

The process

Three steps. Thirty minutes. Your numbers.

Grab two numbers

Your current monthly premium and your deductible. That's all you need to bring. (Going without coverage? Just bring yourself.)

See the side-by-side

We build your personalized comparison on the spot — monthly cost, what happens when you use care, and total annual exposure under each option.

Decide on your timeline

No pressure, no obligation. If it fits, you can enroll any month of the year. If your current plan wins, we'll tell you that too.

Honest answers

Questions everyone asks.

Is health sharing actually legit?
Health sharing has been around for more than 27 years. It's not insurance — it's a community of members who share eligible medical bills according to published guidelines. It has rules and limits, and we'll walk you through them honestly, including the situations where it's not the right fit.
Can I keep my own doctors?
Yes. Impact Health Sharing has no provider network — members can visit any doctor or hospital. Affordable Choice has no network restrictions either; its benefits are paid directly to you regardless of which provider you see.
What about pre-existing conditions?
Impact shares pre-existing conditions with restrictions: a condition must be free of signs, symptoms, testing, diagnosis, or treatment (including medication) for 36 consecutive months before membership for full sharing. This is one of the most important things to review in your consultation — bring your questions and we'll go through your specific situation.
Do I have to wait for open enrollment?
No. Unlike marketplace plans, you can enroll in both programs any month of the year. That also means you can take your time deciding — no deadline pressure.
How much will I actually save?
It depends on your age, household, and current plan — which is exactly why we don't publish a one-size-fits-all number. Many self-employed households see meaningful monthly savings versus unsubsidized marketplace coverage; some don't, and we'll tell you if you're one of them. The comparison is free either way.
What does your service cost?
Nothing. Like our Medicare services, we're compensated by the programs and carriers we work with, so your comparison, enrollment help, and year-round support are always free.
